Our Eastern American journey began in DC last week and we memorialed our way through a truly lovely city. It reminded us a little of Canberra, but on a much grander scale, of course. We have got into the groove of travelling with a baby and Tess is proving to be a little trooper. It probably helps that she is extremely sociable and is forever trying to get someone's attention and give them a smile. Consequently, we are meeting lots of locals. This shot is from just before we left but it really needed to be seen to be believed. She knows it's funny to wear fake glasses. She often rips my glasses off but never wears them. These she'll wear for a laugh. We are now in New York and I think it may have nudged San Francisco from my Top 5 cities. More photos of NY next week.
In the photos below we are actually in front of the White House. Squint a bit. See.
