One week in San Francisco was not enough for us to feel satisfied with such a beautiful city. We loved it from the moment we arrived. Perhaps the sunshine and the humidity had something to do with that but we weren't expecting everything to be quite so lush. We were shamelessly tourists for the week and managed to visit most of the attractions. You can see for yourself that Jason had no pride in the restaurant at Sausilito. He was the only one wearing the crab bib! And our photo of the Wilsons behind bars in D Block, Alcatraz, is hilarious, no? Tess was not impressed with crossing the Golden Gate bridge after our trip to Napa. But she loved the rides on the cable cars, which we rode at every opportunity. All in all we had a great San Fran experience, even though we ate take away in the hotel bathroom every night, trying not to wake our exhausted girl. The nightlife looked good, too. Oh well, we'll be back one day.
Hello lovlies, How it is going? This San Fran business is very jealous making. Looks just so much fun. What else has been happening? Looks like you've been laying low for the last few weeks? Had a big weekend of singing - we performed at the new Melbourne Recital Centre and the National Gallery at this big Melbourne Choral Festival organised by Jonathan Welsch (you know the Choir of Hard Knocks man). Actually we have a few groupies from the Choir of Hard Knocks now. We even sold 26 CDs - sound small but that's big for us. Work is crazy, crazy because it's budget next week (or at least I hope that's why because it if doesn't stop soon I might commit some kind of career limiting move). The footy season has so far been quite testing (as a Roos fan) but perhaps better in the last week. THEN again if you were a League fan, things have been pretty terrible. Not sure if you heard the news about the Storm having their premierships stripped? Yep it's pretty big here. One of the only ways they can get on the front page!! Actually it even made the front page in Adelaide (they'd do anything to gloat at Melbourne misery). There are a lot of bad things happening in the political world - mainly that Tony Abbott is fast gaining on Ruddy, who is performing like a dog. And here the Brumby govt is under extreme pressure too - hence the horrors at work. Marita was in touch today because we've finally found a date good for both of us and they are going to come and visit Melbourne - yay!! Just before that Nic, Gabe and I are going to Byron Bay for a week - July will be good!! OK hope all is good. Let me know how you're all going. Kate xxxxxxx
